Review: I have been using this product for years. The key to this color is to use a platinum toner first with a product called red/gold color corrector plus available from sallies. The other tip i have is to add vinegar to the dye. -Rei-

Review: I dye my naturally blonde hair black with a regular permanent box dye but right after I dye it black and rinse the black out, I put the After Midnight Blue on and leave it for around 15-30 minutes and my hair is always the most beautiful shade of blue black. This is such a gorgeous color. I get soo many compliments on it. It looks soo great on top of black hair. I would describe it as being the deepest, darkest blue, like a deep, deep sapphire. It's just beautiful. It does stain really bad, but I like to mix it with conditioner to avoid staining, and I deep condition my hair once a week, and add a little dye to keep my color bright. I'll repurchase this for a longg time. :) -Lily-

Review: I found that the amplified version is definitely worth spending a little extra on because it lasts around twice as long as the normal version (7 weeks versus 3-4) and it does go a nice shade of deep blue. Despite this it loses a star because it just isn't as good as Special Effects dye e.g. one jar isn't enough to cover my hair when with Special Effects dye one tub would be plenty and there would still be enough left over to top up. Another thing that I didn't like about this dye is that it faded to a horrible blue, sea green and olive green mixture that I was stuck with for over a month until I finally decided to do a soap cap to get rid of it. Review: First of all the things I liked. The color is really bright and beautiful. As mentioned in other comments its starts with dark blue by fading to more light, even electric blue. Unfortunately I can’t compare, because it is my first experience with blue, but it fades by my opinion too quickly, after 2 weeks green starts to show up, which I am not enjoying. I have no problems with dying my hair after 2 weeks, but this one even after 3rd wash and with almost cold water makes my bath tub so blue and hard to wash out. That is a half of problem, my hands are blue just by touching and combing hair and my dress, neck is blue even after week, I am blue all around and I am tired to clean out color from my skin twice a day. When I wash hairs the blue water colors my skin and it’s also hard to wash out. I think it’s too much even for semi permanent color. It feels like color wants to stay anywhere just not in hair. I am going to try other brands.(AMPLIFIED) -Jevegenija-

Review: As a veteran of blue hair I have to say this is one of my absolute favourites. Really long lasting and although it is dark it does not lose out on brightness. (AMPLIFIED) -Zara-

Review: Worked really well-I used it on unbleached hair and it's still really vibrant :) The only thing is that it still stains everything blue, even though I rinsed it out a lot As it fades it gets a bit more green but I think that looks nice :D -Olivia-

Review: I put the dye onto my bleached hair and left it on for around 40 minutes. It started off blue/black but after a few washes the colour faded out quickly to a more brighter blue which I liked better than the original colour. :) After bout 2 weeks the ends were very faded and turning a very light shade of green, And the overall colour became a cyan shade. I washed it using warm water and a colour protect shampoo/conditioner. I was very happy with what I got and will absolutely buy again. Well worth the price. I got a lot of stares, so not a colour for the paranoid :P -Natalie-Jayne-

Review: This hair dye is really good, although it does bled a lot, and starts off a really black/blue colour, but after about 2 weeks it was a lovely blue colour and then started going green after about 4 weeks, i've had the dye in for about 2months without topping it up and its still a beautiful bluey/green colour, i'd definately recomend this to others wanting a nice blue/greeny colour, it's stunning (STANDARD) -Kerry-

Review: This is a beautiful shade of blue , i recieved lots of compliments . I mixed half of this with half of Bad Boy Blue from Manic Panic and got the blue i wanted. Bleached my hair first , ended up with lighter roots than ends , so the tips of my hair are darker than roots - but made no difference to the wow factor this product gives :D (AMPLIFIED) -Fiona-

Review: This dye goes further and lasts a bit longer than the Amplified cream but it does seem to bleed more and my boyfriend found it harder to apply. (GEL) -Rachel-

Review: I get a lot of compliments with this colour though it's a lot more visible in sunlight. I wash my hair every other day and it general lasts about two and a half weeks before the roots start to go green. I've been told it looks like a peacock!! (STANDARD) -Rachel-

Review: I loved this hairdye! i had a mixture of blonde and ginger hair, but this dye really evened it out. at first the colour was quite dark, and you could only see the blue in the light. but after a few washes it faded into the brightest blue i could of ever hoped for. it lasted around 4 weeks and seemed to keep getting brighter everytime i washed it! i highly reccomend this colour - especially if your planning to keep your hair blue for a long period of time :D (GEL) -Mandy-

Review: After trying a LOT of different blues from different brands this is the best ive found.goes on really dark blue-black at first but lightens a lot from the first wash.goes a really pretty colour.this is one of the only blues that looks vibrant on my hair as opposed to the wishy washy colour from some other brands.I found it stayed on really well with my hair that had just been bleached.Lasted about 3 weeks before it started going green but on the non-bleached hair (dark blonde) washed out after about 5 washes.but that tends to be the same with all hairdyes. Review: This is my first time using manic panic... And not my last! I love the colour I get from this dye. It's kind of peacock-ish and even though my hands and sink are now a dusty blue, this is definitely a colour I would recommend. Strongly!! (STANDARD) -LiquidRobot-

Review: I love this colour when its fresh its really nice. But does bleed out alot when washed for the first time. Does have some staying power but does start to look greyish blue after afew washes. I have had to touch it up after a while. But still looks good when first done. (STANDARD) -Squir-

Review: This is such a brilliant colour- it's just a shame that I didn't bleach the part of my hair I was dying. However, it still came out a really strong blue. I had some difficulties applying it, as I could not get it to foam up as it said on the instructions, so that was rather frustrating. Also, it has stained my hands (and elbows for some reason!) like crazy.. but I'm sure it'll go. :] Other than the few bad points, I love this hair dye and would recommend it to everyone! :D (STANDARD) -Esme-

Review: This dye turned out a nice dark blue. It would get a 5 star rating if it wasn't for this. After two weeks of having the dye, it still bled when it was washed. Even after dying my hair black, and running it under the faucet for minutes it never went clear. (STANDARD) -Mandy-

Review: I used this colour for almost a year (discovered the manic panic brand after having realized that the blue from crazy colour was way too dull , and was going off after each shampoo) and never been disappointed with it.I could use it once in two or three months and not touch my hair colour at all for weeks afterwards ! And it looked so beautiful ! Ah I miss it^^ (AMPLIFIED) -Iris-

Review: Great colour, was darker than I thought and took a good load of shampoo to get it lighter. (Just shows how good the staying power is). The only problem I had with Manic Panic was the hair dye that bled onto my forehead when I sweated but after a few washes it wont stain your skin, clothes and pillows. I do recommend this though, very long lasting and very cheap. (STANDARD) -Billy-

Review: I used this over my natural hair colour (a very dark brown) and it lasted for about 2 months before I decided to dye over it. The colour it gave was a sort of dark petrol blue with some almost green hints where my hair was lighter. I was very impressed with how long it lasted, and also I only needed to use half the bottle for all of my hair, which was halfway down my back at the time. (GEL) -Elaine-

Review: Excellent dye, very easy to use and the colour is longer lasting than any other I've used! I love blue hair and I'm constantly dying mine and this blue is the best by far. Does fade to a much lighter blue after about 2 weeks on my hair, which is about 3 times longer than other brands of blue dye. (STANDARD) -Ellen-

Review: Brilliant - it hardly stained my skin at all. Due to other commitments I was only able to leave it in for around half an hour, however two weeks later and the blue is still vibrant and looks beautiful in the sunlight! I have naturally brown hair, so I bleached it first and then before applying the dye also highlighted it; the result of this was that it has come out around three or four different shades of blue, ranging from almost-turquoise to almost-purple. This dye certainly makes a change from your standard blue, and isn't too flourescent either. I can't recommend it enough. (STANDARD) -Miriam-

Review: This is the first blue hair dye i've used and its marvelous! It's really easy to apply and use and the colour(s) it leaves you with are fantastic! I've dyed my hair with this dye 4 times now and every time there asre lighter or darker shades through my hair (i know its not meant to happen but its a great bonus). The slight downs side is that the blue still rubbes of on the back of my neck and it's turned the collar of my school shirt blue :P (buy my hear head likes it so nothing to comlain about) ** not only did it do wonders for my hair the bath and the sink are a nice shade of blue aswell! (STANDARD) -Andrew-

Review: I really wasn't happy with this dye at all, I used it on bleached hair & while it went a nice colour absolutely loads of dye has come out everytime I wash it, it has stained my bath blue & I have to scrub dye off my hands after washing my hair. It has faded really quickly, I will definately not be using this colour again. (AMPLIFIED) - Louise-

Review: Fantastic color and really longlasting! It's a little lighter than the example says, but it's still pretty! It fades into lightblue, so it doesn't end up as ugly as some other colours that fade. (AMPLIFIED) -Nathalie-

Review: Brilliant colour with fantastic staying power. Looks beautiful in sunlight, and never fails to get compliments (unfortunatly "I like your hair" is the only chat-up line I get these days!). My usual dye choise is the non-AMP version of same colour; on my head there was hardly a difference between the two in terms of how long the colour lasted (thus the reason for the 4 stars rather then 5). Review: Brilliant shade of blue, really vibrant!
We left it in for about two hours on previously bleeched hair which still had some faded Special effects "blue haired freek" in it and it came out exactly the same shade as in the picture. It also has a funky aqua kind of glow off it in the sunlight. Very cool - if you have blue eyes this'll look particularly cool and make them sparkle (^_^) (AMPLIFIED) -Jill-
