Review: My favorite color is purple, so why not put a little purple in my hair? Well this is my experience of manic panic purple haze. The color comes in a nice big tub with plenty of product. One is enough to cover all your hair or enough to put some streaks in and do quite a few touch ups. When applying the dye you have to be very carefull, as it tends to stain the skin and even the sink quite a lot (I found tooth paste to be quite efficient for removal of the stains on the sink). For the color to work best and be most intense you should pre lighten your hair and blowdry it. I found the color to be much more intense if left on for 1 to 2 hours. Adding a bit of heat (blowdry hair packed in plastic) will intensify the color and make it last longer. The color itself is a bit more smokey than I expected and not that bright purple... But it is a very unique and cool gothic hair color. I am very pleased with the result and the lasting power. (STANDARD) -Rikke- |

Review: After bleaching my hair it was a mid-blonde colour and some bits were white, where I had blonde streaks before. After keeping in the dye for an hour and adding a lot of heat with a hairdryer, my blonde turned a brown colour and the white bits went a pale blue and washed out completely after a couple of washes. I recommend using 2-3 tubs on shoulder length hair like mine and bleaching the hair to a very pale blonde beforehand. Also, I recommend leaving the dye on overnight to get ultra vibrant hair. Review: So, for my spontaneous hair dying rampage this year, i decided to go purple. Again.. Purple haze has really bright colouring, but also works on unbleached hair for a reddy/ plum colour. First i bleached chunks of my hair to a bright blonde/white/albino colour (90 minutes) and then bleached the rest of my hair for roughly 20 minutes. I added small bleached strands to blend the 2 tones together. *My sister helped me here ;). Then Left the dye in overnight in some clingfilm and a towel on my pillow. Result? fan-diddly-awesome!! :D It can only fully be explained with a picture, but i really recommend tryin' it out for some great purpley/pink hair or just highlights. And here.. Note: If you're at a really uptight school like mine, I would NOT recommend dying unless you're doing so during the holidays. my headteacher made me dye it over.. now im a woody green colour.. PURPLE AGAIN IN TWO WEEKS C: (STANDARD) -Naomi- |
